About

Niamh Hejsak is a ceramicist and photographer based in London. Much like in the medium of analogue photography, which Niamh studied in Cornwall, she is drawn to the physicality and tangibility of clay, as well as the intimacy of working with her hands and feeling reconnected to the earth. She is interested in functionality but with deliberate suggestions of the human touch.

She uses a variety of clays, slips and layering of glazes to create unique vessels, often imagining how they would interact alongside nature, and her varied forms invite interaction in people's everyday lives.
